Questions

What do I get?

A ZIP with a ready-to-run FiveM server: the QBCore or ESX server base, every script you picked plus their dependencies, a pre-configured server.cfg, the database (SQL) files and notes for each script. You download it from your account.

Do I need my own server or hosting?

Yes. 5mstart delivers the server files, not hosting. You can test on your own PC and later run it on a Windows/Linux VPS, dedicated server or game-server host. You'll also need the free FXServer software and a MariaDB/MySQL database – our setup guide walks you through it.

Do I need a license key?

Yes, every FiveM server needs one. It's free: create it at portal.cfx.re under Server Keys. The setup guide shows where to put it.

QBCore or ESX?

Both are great roleplay frameworks. QBCore is the most popular choice for new servers – modern with lots of free add-ons. ESX is the classic with a huge script ecosystem, very common on EU servers. If you're unsure, pick QBCore.

How do updates and rebuilds work?

Your download is kept for 30 days. In your account you can rebuild your server anytime (up to 3 times a day) – it creates a fresh copy with the same scripts, e.g. if your download expired.

Can I get a refund?

Your server is digital content that we start building right after payment. Before buying, you agree to that and confirm you lose your right of withdrawal once the build starts (see withdrawal information). If something is broken or missing, contact [email protected] – your statutory rights stay unaffected.
